About Steve Dickason

Steve HatSteve Dickason has been managing salespeople since 1980. During this time, he has hired and trained hundreds of real estate agents. As a student of achievement psychology, he has observed and studied the traits and habits that result in happiness and success. In the 1980’s he began publishing articles in industry magazines and speaking to groups of Realtors in the areas of communication skills and achievement management. In 2000 he published a book, “Blood of the Dragon,” a fantasy adventure story that teaches many of the concepts and techniques he has used to transform his own life from a highly functioning recluse with low self-esteem and a fear of human interaction to an author, trainer/coach and public speaker. His passion is to guide others to happier, more fulfilling lives. To that end he published a new personal performance book titled, Ignite Your Dormant SuperPowers – a guide to living a self-directed, joyful and prosperous life. Caffeine for the Brain is a newsletter that Dickason has written and distributed to real estate agents since 1987 as a way of giving back to the industry and hopefully making a difference in the lives of others.

Great inaugural post! And welcome to the Blogosphere!

I have followed Waitley for years and like what he has to say.

Hi – Your blog was so interesting – I am going to reread it(print it out) but for now the one thing that I can relate to is SELF TALK ( I believe in this one – do it more than ever)) – I try to relate to what the other person may be dealing with or thinking). Big step for me. It seems to be working. Listening is improtant for a relationship to work (whether it be personal or business wise) – for me – it used to be if someone doesn’t think like me they were wrong, Going to read your blug weekly. How come you are so smart??????? Me

Steve, I know it’s been a long time, but I’m glad we have connected again. This blog of yours is very interesting and full of ideas for living and growing. I’m glad you suggested it and will check it regularly. I have a small business with alot of stress and can relate to what you are trying to say to your sales personnel. I’m trying to sell myself, my business, and stay positive and relaxed at the same time. It can be hard. Like the lady before me says, “how come your so smart”?

      Dan,
Really glad that this is helpful. The messages come from 30 years in a fast-paced business. I had to learn ways to cope with stress, fear, anger, and live each day with as much happiness and love as possible. I’m glad we connected too. Of all my childhood friends you are the one that I respected the most. You’ve always lived your life with integrity and honesty. I could tell when we met at the reunion that none of that has changed. I hope we can get together again sometime.

    • Hey Dan. I need your address so I can send you my new book, Ignite Your Dormant SuperPowers.
